Yo, What’s GOOD?

Yo, what’s good?

Last week, I was having a conversation with my grandma and I got to learn she didn’t have a life insurance.
TEEN 1
She didn’t have a life insurance? I’m surprised!
TEEN 2
Her explanation was that she has two children who are grown and have good jobs.
TEEN 1
So, she wasn’t going to leave them anything?
TEEN 2
I disagreed with her theory completely.
TEEN 1
Tell me, how did the conversation end?
TEEN 2
I used the little knowledge I knew about life insurance, plus a little psychology to convince her it was necessary she bought a life insurance policy.
TEEN 1
Did she buy into your little knowledge and psychology?
TEEN 2
Fortunately, she did. I think what convinced her was when I brought myself into the mix.
TEEN 1
What do you mean?
TEEN 2
I told her she could leave out her two children and write my name as the beneficiary. You know how grandparents love their grand-children?
TEEN 1
I sure do. Has she bought the insurance policy yet?
TEEN 2
This Saturday morning at ten she will come and pick me up to her house. I called for an insurance agent to come meet with us at eleven.
TEEN 1
Have you told your mom about the conversation?
TEEN 2
I haven’t but I will at some point.
TEEN 1
I’m proud of you, Do---g!
TEEN 2
Thanks for your support! Hey, what are your plans for the summer?
Are you and your parents going to go away?
TEEN 1
No. I told my parents I would like to start a business this summer.
TEEN 2
A business - what kind of business?
TEEN 1
Just last month, it dawned on me that many older people have VHS tapes, but they can’t use them. I would like to convert them into a CD.
TEEN 2
Hey, that sounds like a great idea. Do you have the machine to convert?
TEEN1
My parents bought me a used one, but it works wonderfully.
TEEN 2
You’re going to need someone to manage your marketing – design the marketing message, knock on doors and give out the flyers.
TEEN 1
I have all that mapped out.
TEEN 2
Great! Hallo at me if you need any help. I can help in designing the flyers.
TEEN 1
I’ve always respected your artistic quality. Maybe you and I can meet this Saturday after your meeting with your grandma.
TEEN 2
It’s a deal!
